Back at it...

So this week has been CRAZY at work - I think the New Year has kicked into high gear.

Tonight I start the second level of my French training (oui-oui). We'll see how that goes!

...and, unbelievably, I feel another cold coming on. I'm totally bummed out. Fingers crossed that this scratchy throat I'm feeling just goes away.

I've got nothin' else to say at the moment... :)

Mr. Sub

So last night, we went to Mr. Sub - the boyfriend ordered a "Ultimate CHEDDAR Club"... and he was asked if he wanted CHEDDAR on it... lol.

I want to work there.

Happy New Year | Weekend Update

HAPPY NEW YEAR, Everyone!
I think this year is going to be interesting... I look forward to its ups and downs.

So...an update on my weekend for you...

Saturday - Welcome to Sketchville

This past Saturday, I had to go to a coin laundry for the first time...yes, the first time (does that make me a princess?)...We had to wash all of the dog's blankets, because we didn't want to clog our own drain with his fur. So we stuffed some bags with his blankets and headed down the street to the coin laundry. It was sketchy...interesting characters in there, I tell ya. The first part of the adventure was relatively uneventful. That said, about half way through our time there, strange folks started looking in the window at us - lol. They seemed harmless enough. Then a few moments later, a man came in with a giant duffel bag and asked us if we wanted to buy either a set of wireless headphones or a parrot, for only $10. I kid you not. We said that we didn't need the headphones and that our dog would eat the parrot and the man replied, "Well, for $10, your dog could have a lot of fun!" We stared back in silence and the man spun around and left. LOL.

Sunday - Bird's Nest Lady

Do you ever wake up with the sudden urge to change something about yourself? No? Well, I do. I woke up yesterday wanting to get my nails done, my hair done and possibly get a tattoo - all before noon. So I hopped into my car at 10am and started driving around, seeing what was open. Turns out, nothing opens until 11:30. LOL. At any rate, I ended up going to my usual hair place, but because I was just a walk-in, my usual stylist wasn't available. The receptionist asked me if I wouldn't mind Yvette* doing my hair. I said, "Sure, what the heck?" The receptionist then yelled, "Yvette - client! - front!" (haha). Yvette popped around the corner and my eyes nearly bugged out of my head. This woman had a BIRD'S NEST of hair on her head... all matted and messy. She had 4-inch, rainbow painted finger nails. She had freaky 6-inch heels that she teetered upon. Nonetheless, it was too late now...! She turned out to be quite nice (I didn't expect otherwise), but I was a bit worried about what she would do to my 'do. But, believe it or not, all went well - she did a great job. Just another case of the shoemaker with the worst shoes, or in this case, the stylist with the worst hair.

PS - Didn't get the nails done or the tattoo...haha
